Site Questions
1. Is 4fame.com Free?
Yes, signing up to be a member with 4Fame is absolutely free. In about
a year we will be adding some features that customers will have to pay
for in order to use.
2. Will there be more genres of music added to the site?
Yes, artists that would like to add their bio and music to the site under
a genre that is not yet represented should click
here to contact us.
3. Is 4fame a truly independent site or is it a subsidiary of
a major record company or corporation?
4fame is owned and operated solely by individuals with no ties to any
major record labels or major corporations.
4. Do you sell music on your site or merchandise?
No, currently 4fame.com does not sell any of the artists’ albums
or merchandise. If you are interested in purchasing music/merchandise
from artists, please contact those artists through email or other links.
Artists/Band Questions
5. How do I get my album to be shown on the featured artists section
of the home page?
This section will pull at random from the database. 4fame.com will do
its best to ensure each artist receives equal exposure.
6. How many photos can I upload?
You can currently upload up to 3 photos.
7. How many songs can I upload to the site?
As many songs as your heart desires.
8. How many songs can I have in rotation on the 4fame streaming
radio?
3 songs will be permitted from each artist and band to be in rotation
on the radio.
9. What are the stipulations for my song to be played on the
radio?
A. Songs must have clear sound (i.e. must be audible/quality recording)
B. Although 4fame.com strives to allow free artistic expression, grossly
offensive material will not be played. The decision of whether material
is “grossly offensive” is at the discretion of 4fame.
10. What if I make a song that is “grossly offensive”
is there anyway I can upload it and have it heard on the site?
Yes, the song will be available on the artist’s bio page for download
only.
11. How long will it take for my songs and images to be reviewed
before they can be posted to the site?
Within 24 hours of uploading.
12. If I upload my music, am I guaranteed to have my song on
the radio?
No, all songs will be reviewed before they are posted on the radio.
13. What if I do not want my song to be downloaded for free but
I would like my song to be on the radio?
Click here to contact us and let us know what
intention you have for the songs you uploaded. We assume that you would
want the songs to be freely downloaded as to give you greater exposure.
