Fetish vs. Preference

Definitions
Fetish: An object whose real or fantasied presence is psychologically necessary for sexual gratification.
Preference: A special liking for one thing over another.

I had an interesting encounter recently with a young asian woman at a bar. I was at the bar with one of my boys, which is odd because I do not drink a lick of alcohol. Anyway I was there merely as company to discuss some things with my boy. Now, I was dressed in my typical outfit of a hoodie and sweat pants, not looking to interact with strangers but as usual that was not the case. I noticed this very attractive asian sitting at the other end of the bar. I tried to keep my focus on the conversation with my boy but I kept looking at the young lady until I finally got up and went over and introduced myself. I approached with the standard big smile and a hello followed by a small compliment (it always works)! She told her name and we started to talk. Now for those that know me, when I meet a person, I always ask a million and one questions. Always remember if you are on a date or seeing somebody and they never ask questions then I would truly question their interest. Any new person I meet is a new experience, which means there is something that I will learn from this person because none of us have lived the same life. You should really cherish a different perspective with regards to life.
As I am talking to the young lady, I ask the question; "What kind of men do you usually date racially?" She answered me instantly and said, "I only date black men and nothing else!" To be honest I have met many women in my life that are not black but will only date black men. I was just having a conversation with my sister and she was saying that I should never want to be somebodies FETISH. I replied I don't think it is a fetish but more of a preference. Then the debate started, my sister said from her experience most of the non black women that only date black men have a sexual desire that over powers their attraction and that makes it a fetish. Her case in point is non black women seem more likely to date any old black guy as long as he is attractive or not. He doesn't need a job or even need to be successful, just be black. I will admit that I am turned off when a non black woman says she only dates black men because then I feel like I could be any black guy, just as long as my skin is brown then it is all good.
On the other side of the equation, I have a black friend that only dates over weight white women. When I say over weight I mean take the comedian "Roseanne" and add a little more weight to her and then she would be perfect for my boy. I ask him all of the time, "why do you like these huge white women?" His response is always the same, it started back in highschool. None of the pretty girls would talk to him and he said the big white chicks were always down. I understand that you date what you can get but we are all way past highschool and I know he can get an attractive average size woman. You should see him, we can be at a place and there will be all beautiful women and maybe one fat chick and like flies to shit he goes right after the biggie!
I have a theory about over weight people when it comes to sexual relations. I always figured fat people operate off of the pleasure principle and that is why they are fat. Hence, eating can be a feel good activity like sex. I think the same reason fat people eat so much is the same reason why a lot of fat people are hyper sexual. There is no kind of restraint, it is all about the feel good act and nothing else matters.
I have banged fat chicks before and I enjoyed it but I don't think that I could settle down with an over weight woman because to me she has no discipline.
So this brings me back to the question of fetish vs. preference. The asian woman that I met at the bar also said that sexually she gets turned on when she sees an attractive black guy. I am starting to agree with my sister when it comes to non black women that only date black men. I feel like you should look at who a person is and look at a persons accomplishments instead of only using race as a criteria for dating. If it is a sexual thing, then be honest and call it what it is. As for me I have a fetish for women with big butts (no matter the race) my preference is to be with a woman that carries herself like a lady and has some ambition in life to be the best she can at whatever she chooses to do!
